About Dowty Judo Club

British Judo Association (BJA) Registered | DBS Registered Coaches | Sport England Club Mark Bronze

Dowty Judo Club is one of the longest-standing sporting clubs connected to the Dowty name and heritage. Founded by Dowty employees and still based on the original site, the club has grown from a workforce judo squad into a respected community club with a proud competitive record.

We are run entirely by volunteers and exist for community benefit rather than commercial gain. Our aim has always been to keep judo accessible, affordable and welcoming to all.

Today, our membership includes juniors, adult recreational players, veterans and complete beginners, all training together within a club culture shaped by respect, discipline and high standards.
