We welcome players of all ages and abilities to Dowty Judo Club, creating a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy and progress in judo.

Beginners

We provide a welcoming introduction for beginners of all ages, with no prior experience required. Sessions focus on the basics of judo, including breakfalls, throws, and groundwork, all taught at a comfortable pace. We ensure a friendly atmosphere where new members can learn safely, build confidence, and improve fitness while enjoying the sport.

Beginners are welcome to attend any suitable session, with coaches on hand to provide guidance and support.

Juniors

Our junior sessions are designed for children aged 7 and above, focusing on building confidence, discipline, and respect while having fun. We introduce fundamental judo techniques, movement skills, and safe practice through engaging and structured coaching. Players develop coordination, balance, and teamwork, with opportunities to progress through gradings and, if desired, take part in competitions.

Session Time:
Wednesday – 18:30 to 19:45

Seniors

Our senior sessions cater to a wide range of abilities, from recreational players to experienced competitors. Training includes technical development, fitness, and regular randori (sparring), allowing players to challenge themselves and continue progressing. We support those aiming for gradings, competition, or simply maintaining an active and enjoyable involvement in judo.

Session Times:
Monday – 18:30 to 20:00 (Mixed Junior & Senior – Randori focused)
Wednesday – 19:45 to 21:15

We encourage anyone interested to come along, watch a session, or get on the mat and give judo a try.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the session start time to allow for registration.
