Pete Salter

Pete Salter has held his 6th Dan since 2019 and is a BJA qualified level 3 coach.

As well as coaching in the club, he oversees the county squad coaching team. Pete has served as Chairman of Gloucestershire County Judo since it was constituted as a committee over 30 years ago, and has also held the position of County Coach for that time.

Pete has run the Dowty Judo Club along with his wife Chris since 1975, and in 1981 along with other members of the Dowty Club, created a purpose built Dojo. 

During this period of time, Pete has coached at Club, County and Area level. Coaching Players at all three levels to Club, County, Area, National, and International standard. Pete served as Western Area Technical Director for approximately 5 years, and was also the Western Area Vice Chairman for a period of time.
